What the scan does

It asks several AI language models about an organisation by name, with no web access and no link supplied, and reports what came back. It then checks the public records those answers would normally rest on.

The result describes what the models produced at the time of testing. Ask again next month and the answer may differ, because the models change and so does the record underneath them.

What it is not

It is not a background check, a credit assessment, a due diligence report, or any legal or investigative finding. It makes no statement about whether an organisation is honest, solvent or well run.

Where a model says something unflattering, we report that a model said it. That is an observation about the model, not a claim about the company.

Accuracy and reliance

AI models produce confident text about organisations they hold no reliable record of. That is the problem the scan exists to show, and it applies to the answers we quote as much as to any others.

The scan is offered as it is, without warranty. Decisions taken on the basis of it are your own, and we are not liable for them.

Using it fairly

Scan organisations, not private individuals. Do not use it to harass, to build a list, or to feed another service.

There is a daily limit per visitor and an overall daily limit. Working around them, or automating requests, is not permitted and will be blocked.

The full report

The free scan is complete in itself and costs nothing. Requesting the full report puts you in touch with the partner who produces it. Anything agreed with them is a separate matter between you and them.

Availability

The scanner is free and runs on capacity we pay for, so it can be limited, changed or withdrawn without notice.

Changes

If these terms change, the revised version replaces this one on this page. Continuing to use the scanner means the current version applies.
